We deliver to any address in Japan and to the hotel you are staying in. The pages below hold the detail. Shipping alcohol out of Japan needs an export licence for liquor wholesalers, which we are still obtaining. Until then we cannot send it abroad.

- We can't ship alcohol overseas yet; the export licence is in progress. Items without alcohol can be sent abroad today.
- Meat is delivered to Japanese addresses only — no hotels, no overseas.
For overseas delivery, duties and local taxes are paid by the recipient.

Buying
Payment, age verification and returns — the things people check before ordering.
- How do I pay, and in what currency?Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, through Stripe. You are always charged in Japanese yen; figures in other currencies are a reference only.
- How does age verification work for alcohol?We do not sell alcohol to anyone under 20. You enter your date of birth before payment, and we never store the date itself.
- Can I return or exchange something?Quality problems are replaced or refunded if you tell us within seven days. Because these are food and alcohol, we cannot take returns for change of mind.

Choosing well

Questions
Where can you deliver?
We deliver to any address in Japan, and to your hotel while you are here. Shipping alcohol out of Japan needs an export licence for liquor wholesalers, which we are still obtaining. Until then we cannot send it abroad. Meat cannot leave Japan under animal quarantine rules, and it cannot be left at a hotel. Japanese addresses only.
How much is shipping?
One flat rate for the whole of Japan, Hokkaido and Okinawa included. Chilled and frozen items carry a surcharge, and domestic delivery is free above a set order value. Overseas is a flat rate per region. The figures are on the shipping guide and on every product page — both generated from the shipping settings, so they match what you are charged.
Who pays customs duty?
For overseas delivery, duty and local taxes are paid by the recipient (DDU). The amount depends on the item and the country, so we cannot collect it in advance; the carrier will bill it on arrival.
Are prices tax included, and is tax charged on an overseas order?
Prices include Japanese consumption tax. Export tax exemption is not yet available. An overseas order is charged the same tax-inclusive price. Duty and VAT in the destination country are separate, and are paid by the recipient.
How does age verification work?
For anything containing alcohol you enter your date of birth before payment. We cannot sell to anyone under 20. The date itself is not stored, and the courier checks ID again on delivery.
Can you add noshi or gift wrapping?
Yes. In the cart you set wrapping (standard, gift box +¥550, furoshiki cloth +¥1,100), noshi (outer or inner, with the inscription and the sender's name) and a message card, per item. No invoice goes in the box, so the recipient never sees the price.
Can you deliver to my hotel?
Yes, for items that ship at room temperature. We aim to arrive the day before check-in, so we need the hotel name, your check-in date and the exact name on the booking. Hotels store parcels at room temperature, so chilled and frozen items can't go there, and some hotels charge a holding fee — worth checking with them first.
What if nobody is home?
The carrier will redeliver. Chilled and frozen parcels are held at the depot for up to three days; after that they are discarded for safety, so please pick a date somebody can receive them.
Can I return something?
If anything arrives in poor condition, contact us within 7 days and we will replace it or refund you. Because these are food and alcohol, we can't accept returns for change of mind.
